Antique Beer Pump Door Knocker

This pump was erected in Broad Street, Soho, London in 1854 to mark the findings of scientist John Snow. He found that a pump on this site was the cause of the largest outbreak of cholera that claimed 600 deaths in two months.

A new pump was unveiled in 1992 to commemorate his work. The original site is marked a few metres away with a plaque on the wall of the John Snow Public House.

Excellent condition.
